Harun Group
Harun Group works in energy distribution, river transport and shipbuilding, steel and materials, trade and agriculture. Its nine companies serve customers across Bangladesh and trade with partners in eight countries.
Each business was started to meet a need the country had at the time, and each one is still run by the group. The companies work for one another: fuel from the distributor is sold on the forecourt, the river fleet is repaired at the group's own yard, and scrap from the yard feeds the mills.

He started the business in 1948 as J.B. & Co., with three staff, and has led the group through every business it has entered since.
The group enters businesses that benefit the people of Bangladesh, and it expects success for everyone who does business with it.
