River Transport & Shipbuilding
Passengers since 1974, cargo since 1981, and a yard of our own to build and repair the fleet.
Bangladesh moves on its rivers, and Hosni Ara River Transport has moved with them since 1974, when it began with a single passenger launch. The cargo fleet that started as Momin & Brothers in 1981 now runs under the same company, so passengers and goods travel on one network with one crewing and maintenance operation behind it.
A. K. Shipyard gives that fleet a home. On 320,000 square feet it builds, fits out and repairs vessels for the group and for outside clients. For larger newbuilding the yard works with shipbuilders from Korea and China.
