A 320,000 square foot shipyard for the repair, refit and building of river vessels.
A. K. Shipyard is the group's own yard: 320,000 square feet for repairing, refitting and building vessels. Its first customer is the group's river fleet; it serves outside owners too.
Repair and newbuilding are the work today: hull steel, engines, fit-out and the periodic docking that keeps a fleet in service. For larger newbuilding the yard is open to joint ventures with Korean and Chinese shipbuilders, who bring their design and production methods.
The group runs the fleet, so it knows what the yard has to deliver: vessels back in service on schedule, and new hulls built to last on the rivers.
