Ibrahim Steel Mills has made construction steel since 1977: rods, angles, deformed bars and related sections, supplied to the contractors, developers and infrastructure projects that Bangladesh builds with. It is the group's manufacturing company, and the one whose product is easiest to point at in any city in the country.
Madinah Al Mahrus Metals works the other end of the cycle. It buys, sorts and grades scrap, heavy melting steel in HMS 1 and HMS 2, light metal and copper, and sells it on to mills and foundries for re-melting. One company makes the steel; the other makes sure it comes back.
